Admittance is free, like the Met in NY in NYC... I cannot stop stop thinking about NYC, Laural Canon or Buenos Aires to just flaneur and post for a month from there... But I hate modern air travel so can only dream of the americas.... Robert
During an aside from the main conversation, we were discussing British woolens when she told us that the mill that produces the goods for the Coldstream Guards' red tunics had been on the edge of the estate where she lives with her family since the late 1600's...
"Oh really Mam?" I said. "My father was a Coldstreamer" "Jolly well done Robert" she replied as Colonel-in-Chief of the regiment. When Ron joined our conversation, asking "What's a Coldstreamer?" "That's in-house-talk" the Princess said as she raised her white gloved hand in a "talk-to-the-hand" motion. I think she immediately realised she was being abrupt... Poor Ron, looked flabbergasted as he graciously accepted her manner and we all moved on...
Finally, I'd love to see that Furla skin bag done huge! with a snake-skin printed on diamond stamped leather, with a shiny plastic looking hand-finish... It could become an icon like Furla's jelly and candy ranges but aimed at very rich women around the world, the ladies-who-lunch. Perhaps Saks could commission three to be auction for charity and Ron could send one to the Princess to be auctioned by one of her charities. That way he could show her that there are no hard feelings on his side... But, I'm sure he is so busy he can hardly remember the day?

"Cotton is a fabric that we wear and see around us" says Samia. "These days cotton is more disposable than ever before. We can go to shops buy as many cotton garments we want, without facing hardship unlike people who make it".
